May Appelbaum

May Appelbaum passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on September 30, 2026. She will be remembered with love by those who knew her and by the family who carried her close throughout her life. 

She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish her memory. May is survived by her two daughters, Donna and her husband Steve and Carol "Carrie" and her husband Scott. She was also a proud grandmother to Sarah and her husband Matthew and Elizabeth and her husband Daniel. Her legacy continues through her eight great-grandchildren: Donovan, Carynn, Easton, Rowan, Teagan, Liam, Nolan and Dillon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; her son Daniel; her mother Sarah; her sisters Margaret, Elsie and Jenny; her brother James and her great grandson Connell. Their memories remained an enduring part of her life, and she now rests reunited with those who went before her. 

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on October 8, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral service will follow there at 9:00 a.m. Following the funeral service May will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St Louis, MO 63125, at 11:00 a.m. 

May Appelbaum’s life is honored in the love of her family across generations as well as in the many friendships she cherished throughout the years. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved her.
