.Michael Wayne Laramie, age 65 affectionately known as “Laramie,” of Wentzville MO, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025 in the loving arms of his wife and daughter. Mike was such a great man in every way. His family the most important to him. A very cherished husband, son, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend whose generous spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew him.
Michael had a great zest for life that was evident in his favorite hobbies: hunting was his first hobby, then he found fishing. By far his favorite pass-time. He loved traveling, and is known as the music man! He was always listening to music everywhere and loved sharing it with family and friends. However most of all he was a project man! He loved big projects, such as building his own family homes, building decks or extended garages. Helping family and friends build or work on their homes. He was always willing to lend a hand and all of his friends and family knew they could rely on him.
Above all, Mike was a fantastic father and Grandfather!! Always cherished spending time with his kids. Whether it be Jason’s baseball or Heathers dance and gymnastics or just helping with homework, he always enjoyed their time together. Then when that granddaughter came along he was overwhelmed with joy and love for her too. He saw her every week for days at a time. She loves Grandpa and will miss him greatly.
With deep regret he missed meeting his grandson Laramie’s birth by just a few days. It is our belief that he was the first to hold baby Laramie before any of us here.
Mike devoted his professional life to the company he co-owned (Laramie Drywall) and worked endlessly to ensure it became the success in quality workmanship in the drywall industry. He had a talent of creative craftsmanship. A career he was passionate about for over 45 years. He was very proud of the his crewman and the quality work and had won numerous awards with them.
His close friends were for life as they are like family as well. His faith was strong and he loved Jesus. Mike was raised in the Catholic Religion and cherished that even more as he aged.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Sheri, his daughter Heather (Jeremy)Hayward, and their 2 children.
Mike also leaves behind his loving sisters, Shelby Laramie, Teresa (Robert) Wiechens, and Chardean (Mark) Olsen and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.
Mike was preceded in death by his son, Jason Laramie; his father, Wilbur Laramie; and his mother, Charlotte Poe.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
