Michael W. Meyer, a devoted family man, accomplished professional, and beloved friend to many, passed away on July 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for those around him. Born on December 29, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, Michael’s life was marked by remarkable dedication to his family, friends, and career.

Michael's educational journey began in his hometown, where his intellect and drive led him to graduate from St. Louis University with a Bachelor’s Degree. This academic achievement laid the foundation for his distinguished professional life. He built an impressive career at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, where he served until his retirement. His ability to solve problems, provide guidance, and navigate challenges made him an invaluable asset at work and a respected figure among his colleagues.

A person of immense generosity and kindness, Michael’s life extended far beyond his professional accomplishments. Family was at the heart of all he did. His devotion to his wife, Delores Ann Meyer, and their children set the standard for what it means to be truly dedicated. He is survived by his loving children, Deborah Meyer, Michael (Reyna) Meyer II, and David Meyer, each of whom carries forward the values, strength, and affection passed down by their father. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dante Figueroa and Andre Figueroa, and his great-grandchildren, Kaylie Figueroa and Haven Figueroa.

Michael cherished the bond he shared with his siblings and their families. He is survived by his brother James (the late, Judy) Meyer, his brother Charles (Peggy) Meyer, and his sister Mary (Jeff) Simley. He was predeceased by his wife, Delores Ann Meyer, as well as his father, Walter Louis Meyer, and his mother, Ludwina Theresa Meyer.

During retirement, Michael and Ann enjoyed traveling together, connecting with friends, and entertaining loved ones in their home. Michael delighted in referring to himself as a “sous chef” and was a master griller, sharing countless memorable meals with those closest to him. His home was often filled with the comforting aroma of home-cooked dishes, the laughter of family game nights, and the lively conversation of card games with friends. He approached life with a zest for healthy living, although he never missed an opportunity to enjoy dessert.

Known for his approachable nature, Michael never met a stranger; he truly relished talking to everyone he encountered and had the rare gift of making each person feel like a valued friend. His sharp mind, practical intelligence, and willingness to offer advice about everything from finances to real estate made him a trusted confidant and advisor. Michael’s proudest accomplishments were the friendships he cultivated throughout his life, both lasting and new. Despite facing many personal challenges, he never let anything hinder his goals, exemplifying resilience and success both in business and in life.

Michael W. Meyer will be remembered most for the love he bestowed upon his family, the loyalty he inspired in his friends, and his passion for living life to the fullest. His presence enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
