Mildred G Wiecher

Mildred (Gerland) Wiecher asleep in Jesus on May 3, 2025. Mildred was born on July 10, 1930, the beloved daughter of late Oliver and Harriett (Hall) Gerland. She was the devoted wife of 57 years to the late Harvey W. Wiecher.

Mildred was a loving and faithful mother to the Reverend William S. Wiecher (the Reverend Wynemah Hinlicky) and David Louis Wiecher (Debra Twellman). She cherished her grandchildren - Joseph, Mikaela (Ryan) Trent, Liam, Austin, Cassidy, and Clayton Wiecher - and took great joy in each of their lives.

She was the dear sister of the late Jane (Richard) Roettger and the late Oliver Gerland Jr. (the late Barbara and Vivian), and a treasured aunt, great-aunt, godmother, cousin, and friend to many.

Mildred exhibited the love of God through her life of faith and service. She valued her relationships deeply and counted her family and friends among life's greatest blessings. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.

She worked faithfully for 31 years at Scruggs, Vandervoort, and Barney in various roles; including inventory specialist, executive assistant, and secretary to the president (Laurence E. Mallinckrodt). She also served for 25 years as receptionist for Drs. Hugh and Thomas O'Keefe, DDS.

A passionate sports fan, Mildred especially loved cheering for her St. Louis Cardinals and Blues.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home; 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with a service to follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran School, St. Charles, Missouri, Christ the King Lutheran Church Pinecrest, Florida, or to a charity of your choice.
