Neil Schulte

Neil Schulte, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in O'Fallon, Missouri, at the age of 65. Born on January 25, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, Neil lived a life characterized by warmth, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends.

Neil's educational journey began at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. He further pursued his education at Lindenwood University, attaining a Master's Degree that reflected his dedication to personal and professional growth.

Those who knew Neil remember him not only for his achievements but for his vibrant personality. His great sense of humor and witty banter could brighten the gloomiest of days. A gifted storyteller, he had the rare ability to captivate an audience with his jokes, drawing laughter from all around him. But above all, Neil was a giving person, always putting the needs of others before his own, showcasing a heart that overflowed with love and kindness.

Neil cherished the outdoors, finding solace in nature and joy in activities such as fishing, hunting, and simply spending time at "the woods". His backyard was more than just a patch of grass; it was a haven filled with life and laughter, where he took great pride in setting up swings, pools, and water tables for his grandkids. In every corner of his backyard and garden, his dedication shone through, ensuring it remained pristine and welcoming.

He had a passion for cooking that brought friends and family together, particularly his renowned breakfast spread, homemade pies, hearty chili, and fresh breads. Evenings out with his wife, Peggy, enjoying good dinners and sharing a well-crafted Manhattan became treasured traditions, moments that defined a life steeped in love and togetherness.

Neil made religion a priority in his family life. He lived his life as an example for his children to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Whether it was by attending church or by giving to others.

Neil leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold dear the memories they made together. He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Schulte; his children, Abby (Mike Jefferies) Schulte and Nick Schulte; and his precious grandchildren, Edie Jefferies and Edwin Jefferies. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul (Sue) Schulte and John (Amy) Schulte, and his sisters, Julie (Mike) Carnahan and Jane (Greg) King. Each of them will carry forward his legacy of kindness, humor, and love.

We also remember his late parents, Edwin and Veronica Schulte, who embraced him with love throughout his life and whom he now joins in eternal peace.

Neil's indomitable spirit, generosity, and joy for life will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we gather to celebrate his life, let us remember the laughter he sparked, the moments of joy he shared, and the love he poured into every relationship. He was a light in this world and took that light with him, leaving behind a profound impact on all our lives.
