It is with love and remembrance that we pause to honor the extraordinary life of Nydia Vaca de Molina, a beloved soul who has departed on her journey to be with God. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit, radiant with love and generosity, will forever illuminate our hearts.

Nydia was not just a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister; she was the foundation of our family, a steadfast companion, whose boundless devotion knew no limits. In both bright days and dark nights, her presence offered solace, a helping hand, and a word of encouragement that lifted us all. Her kindness was the hallmark of her being, and she gave so generously of herself that the imprints she left behind are a testament to her immense heart.

Her departure creates a profound void, a space that we know will never be filled, not because we lack the capacity, but because Nydia's essence was truly one of a kind. We send our prayers to the heavens, trusting that the Lord will envelop her in His mercy and that from her place of light, she will continue to watch over all the lives she enriched with her goodness. She is finally reunited with her parents and loved ones.

We bid you farewell with a heart full of love and gratitude. You have gifted us with the richest inheritance, the love we shared and the beautiful family you created. Thank you for being our guiding light. Your memory will remain alive; it will transform into the strength that guides us each day.

Nydia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years and 7 months, Yali Bernardo Molina; her treasured children, Yali Molina, Jr., Alvaro (Maricarmen Espinosa) Molina, Nydia (Patrick Downey) Downey Molina, and Ximena Molina; cherished grandchildren, Andrea Molina, Monica Molina, Maryna Downey, Ricky Bolanos, Francesca Downey, Yali Bolanos, and Mateo Bolanos; and brothers, Pastor Vaca, Roberto Vaca, Sergio Vaca.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor Vaca and Maria Elba Cerda; and her sister, Julia Serup.

A Mass in celebration of Nydia's life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Ascension Catholic Little Church, 230 Santa Maria Drive, Chesterfield, MO 63005.
