Pamela Irene King was born on March 11, 1947. She passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 79, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, surrounded by family.
Pamela was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and a dedicated nurse for 30 years. She devoted her life to caring for others, both through her profession as a nurse and within her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love.
Pamela is survived by her daughters, Tina Marie (David) Ilges, Kim Lee Yonko (Floyd Smith), Amanda Margaret King (Jeremy Bequett), and Jessica Marie Burgess; her son, James Edward King; and twelve grandchildren: Kaitlynn (Dylon) Enloe, Halle Ilges, David Ilges, Jr., Sarah (Andrew) Haselhorst, James Thomas, Faith Nichols (Garrett Jurgensmeyer), Lukas Daesch (Raelynn Collazo), Adalyne Bequette, Bastion Bequette, Allura Bequette, Natalie Eby, and Grace Burgess.
Her joy and love also extended to her four great-grandchildren, Harmony Emberton, Kali Jurgensmeyer, Damien Jurgensmeyer, and Elliot Collazo-Daesch. Pamela also leaves behind her sisters, Priscilla (Bob) Pearson and Patricia Thurau, as well as a host of other family members and friends who cherished her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis W. King, whose memory she carried in her heart; her father, Arthur Montgomery Boyd, Sr.; her mother, Dorothy Irene Boyd; her brother, Arthur M. Boyd, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Harry Thurau.
Pamela’s legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the many lives she touched through her work as a nurse and her generous spirit. She will be remembered for her compassion, resilience, and the love she gave so freely to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those she loved.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Saint Peters, Missouri 63376 on Thursday, July 23 from 4-7 p.m., followed by a memorial service on Friday, July 24 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in St Louis.
