Patricia "Tricia" Ann Erwin, beloved daughter of Larry (deceased) and Sandra (nee Saettele) Erwin. Cherished sister of Doug (Abby) and Jeff Erwin, and younger sister Vicki (Garry) Binford. Treasured aunt to Kyle, Sean and Rhys Erwin; Frederick and Eleanor Binford. Valued niece of Neil (Suzanne), Gary (Diane), Mark (Linda) and the late Ron (Carol) Saettele; John (Jennie), Dan (Susan) and the late Kenneth (Janet) Erwin.
Trish was an extraordinarily gregarious person who loved meeting and befriending people — once a friend always a friend, never forgotten. Social media allowed her to maintain contact with the numerous companions she made in Rome and the Italian peninsula as well as countless states throughout America. Her heart was always open to help, her laugh infectious and her joy contagious. She filled her life with love, adventure and new experiences.
Tricia completed a degree in Communication from Webster University before pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts after graduation, studying in St. Louis, Tuscany Italy, and Cordon Blu in London England. She spent a month in Rome Italy gleefully absorbing the culture and cuisine.
Her personal interests were varied and adventurous. She adored traveling to experience new lands and cultures. She snorkeled in Belize, daring to go below the recommended fifty foot floor of the Blue Hole, and strode along the Great Wall of China. A bit of a daredevil she gave her parents gray hair by videotaping a herd of wild buffalo in Wyoming from a distance of less than twenty-five feet away.
As a professional chef her love of travel was only superseded by her love of cooking (especially for family and friends), and in 2007 she achieved her lifelong dream of owning a restaurant with the opening of Sandrina's on Arsenal street in St. Louis. Her charismatic personality drew many from the area and she served the community by hosting numerous charitable events. Sadly Sandrina's was forced to shutter its doors during the pandemic of 2020. From that time to the present Tricia employed her talents remodeling and was in the process of preparing Sandrina's for reopening when she peacefully passed away.
Patricia Ann Erwin was a light to her friends and family that will be greatly missed. A special celebration of her life will be hosted at The Famous Bar on Sunday July 20 at 4 pm.
