Patricia Ann Maassen passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on June 12, 1944, Pat will be remembered with love for the warmth she shared with her family and friends and for the joy she found in life’s simple and lasting pleasures.
Pat enjoyed reading, listening to music, and dancing. She loved to travel with family and friends, and she especially cherished spending time with her grandkids and family. Those who knew her will remember the happiness she found in being surrounded by the people she loved most.
She is survived by her children, Chris Maassen, Dan Maassen, Julie (Michael) Banocy, and Trish Oppeau. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including her grandchildren Mona Stock, Dustin (Maddie) Maassen, Josh (Kate) Maassen, Dani Lotz, Dibri Maassen, Iris Johnson, Lex Johnson, Landon Oppeau, Parker Oppeau, and Colton Oppeau; who all lovingly called her Grammy. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Jaydn Stock, Stella Maassen, Evelyn Maassen, and Heidi Maassen.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; Chester and Eva Johnson; Her brothers; Wayne, Jerry, and Bobby. Her grandchildren; Dylan Maassen, Joseph Oppeau, and Mason Oppeau. Their memories remain a lasting part of her family’s story and of the love that surrounded her life.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376. A Mass will be held on September 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7701 State Rte N, Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368.
Pat Maassen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her love of family, her enjoyment of music and dancing, and the many moments she shared with those closest to her will remain treasured in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
