Patricia G. Thacker, born on July 6, 1961, was called home to the Lord on May 30, 2026. Patricia’s life was marked by her unwavering faith, her dedication to family and friends, and her heartfelt commitment to the many communities she touched throughout her journey.
Patricia was raised in Malden, Missouri, surrounded by a large, close-knit family. Her childhood memories were richly filled with time spent at her grandmother’s house, enjoying home-cooked meals, the joyful company of cousins, and the uplifting sounds of her father’s music. As a young woman, she showcased her team spirit and passion for sports playing basketball for the Malden Green Waves. These formative years instilled in her a lifelong love for family traditions and simple pleasures.
In her move to O'Fallon, Missouri, Patricia became the property manager of Casalon Apartments, where she formed important lifelong friendships that have endured life's milestones together. Her love and genuine care for others shone brightly in her work with Angels on Duty, where she built many meaningful connections. Patricia lived by the golden rule: “treat people how you would want to be treated,” a principle that governed both her personal and professional life.
Patricia was a woman who loved to laugh and embraced life fully, known for her vibrant personality and zest for good food. She was an avid sports enthusiast, passionately supporting the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. Yet, above all else, her heart belonged to her family and friends, with whom she cherished spending quality time.
Her proudest accomplishment was her role as a devoted mother and grandmother. Patricia found immense joy in raising her three children, and instilling into them her core values. Her children truly were her pride and joy, and this joy blossomed even further when she became a beloved Mammie to her grandchildren—Collins, Sunnie, Charley, and Everett—whom she held as her entire world.
Patricia is survived by her three children, Kevin (Kaitlyn) Schramm, Kristen (Austin Simpson) Schramm and Kellie (Jared) Littlefield; her sister, Gabriel Thacker; her twin brother, Bobby Thacker, Jr.; and a host of other family members and friends who will dearly miss her warmth and presence.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Ingeborg Patterson, and her father, Bobby Thacker, Sr., whose legacies lived on in Patricia’s enduring spirit.
A visitation to honor Patricia’s life will be held on June 5, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location from 4:00 PM on the same day.
Pat’s spirit, compassion, and joy will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her. She touched many lives with her kindness and left behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on. Her memory will be cherished by family, friends, and the wider community who admired her faith, resilience, and the warmth she so freely gave.
