Paul embarked on his professional journey at the young age of 14, dedicating his entire career to the automotive parts industry until his retirement. His commitment to his work was evident, and he earned respect from colleagues and clients alike throughout his years in the field.
Beyond his professional life, Paul served with honor in the United States Army, demonstrating his dedication and service to his country until his honorable discharge. This experience shaped his character and contributed to his strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
Paul was known for his great sense of humor, which endeared him to those around him. His ability to find joy in life and share laughter made him a beloved figure among family and friends. He was also a passionate woodworker, taking great pride in his craft. His basement was a treasure trove of tools, where he spent countless hours honing his skills and creating beautiful pieces. In addition to woodworking, Paul had a love for golf and enjoyed spending time on the greens. He was also an avid fan of baseball, often found watching games and sharing his enthusiasm for the sport with those around him. He was a huge animal lover, and had many pets throughout his life. He loved sitting out back and watching the birds come and enjoy his treats he would leave in the bird feeders.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Judie Woelfer; his brother, Art Woelfer; his step-son, Andrew J. Schoessel and his wife, Mary Ellen; grandchildren, Andrew Schoessel and wife, Michelle; Madalyn Schoessel, and Zachary Schoessel; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Nora, and Logan; his niece, Dodie Voerster; and a host of other family members and friends who will remember him for his warmth, laughter, and passion for life. He was preceded in death by his parents, who will reunite with him in eternal rest.
As we remember Paul Eugene Woelfer, we celebrate a life well-lived, rich in love and humor, and filled with the satisfaction of work and the joy of family. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
