Pay DeProw, born on May 5, 1938, passed away on August 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and passion for life. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Pay's nurturing spirit resonated deeply with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Charles DeProw, who cherished their years together. Pay’s love for her family was evident in her every action, particularly in the joy she took in raising her daughter, Terri, who, along with her husband Jeff Ifland, brought immense joy to Pay’s life. Pay was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren—Jared Ifland, John (Itziar) Ifland, Dillon DeProw, and Madison DeProw—who each held a special place in her heart. To complete the circle of joy, she is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Jaeger Ifland and Kendall DeProw, who lit up her life with their laughter and energy. Additionally, her step-son, Brad DeProw, added to the familial bond that enriched her days.
Pay was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Cooper and Lola Aliza Mae Pavey, who laid the foundation for her caring and vibrant personality.
A lover of nature, she found great happiness in tending to her yard, showcasing her passion for gardening. Her hands nurtured not only the plants around her home but also the hearts of those she loved, leaving behind memories that will bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation services for Pay DeProw will be held on August 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, MO 63376.
