Peggy Fleming

Peggy Fleming passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on May 23, 1941, she lived a long life marked by devotion to her family, steady kindness, and the simple pleasures that brought her joy.

Peggy was a constant caregiver for pets and children, a role she embraced with patience, warmth, and generosity. She was someone whose care could be felt in everyday life, and that loving presence became one of the defining gifts she gave to those around her. She also enjoyed going to the casino on Sunday afternoons, or relaxing at the family lake house with a sunset cruise on the pontoon boat. Peggy was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, and she followed both teams with enthusiasm.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Joe) Salmo, her son, John (Alicia) Fleming; her grandchildren, Katie (Justin) Wilmes, Gaby (Nathan) Hogg, Haley Fleming, Ryan (Meghan) Tichenor, and Brett (Meghan) Tichenor; and her great-grandchildren, Rhett Wilmes, Scottie Wilmes, Fitz Hogg, Gabby Gayton, Grayci Maldonado, Kingsley Tichenor, Tallulah Tichenor, William Tichenor, and Harrison Tichenor. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Comet. Her family was the center of her life, and her memory will continue to live on through the many generations who knew her love and care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Fleming; her parents, Harold and Margaret Driemeyer; and her brothers, John (Bea) Driemeyer and Bob (Survived by Shirley) Driemeyer.

Peggy will be remembered with affection for her loyal heart, her nurturing spirit, and the happiness she found in family, sports, and cherished weekly traditions. Her life leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
