Penny Jean Stillman, born on January 13, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, left this world on October 14, 2025, in Moscow Mills, Missouri. With deep sadness, we reflect on her life—a life rich in love, dedication, and unwavering kindness.
Penny was a shining example of hard work and resilience. Her successful career spanned several reality and mortgage companies, where her commitment and tireless efforts earned her many awards and accolades. Yet, her greatest accomplishments were found outside the workplace. Penny’s proudest achievement was raising her children, nurturing them to love and support one another selflessly.
A lover of Jesus, dogs and a true friend to many, Penny had a charming personality that could light up any room. She was generous, sweet, and kind, qualities she instilled in her children, teaching them to be helpful and loving. Penny was a woman who would do anything for anyone, often putting the needs of others above her own. Her self-sacrificial nature and warm spirit were a testament to her character and are cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her interests included reading, crafting, and gardening—hobbies that brought her joy and peace in life’s quieter moments. She was a loving mother to her children, Terry (Linda Halley) Stillman, Tracy (Dave) Gorman, Mike Stillman, Khris (Jen) Stillman, and Daryl (Julie) Stillman. Penny was immensely proud of her grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Jacob, Mackenzie, Khristopher, Sydney, Sam Parker, Victoria, Ava, and Violet; great-grandchildren—Monroe, Madden, Mauer June, Charlotte, McKay, Joanna Parker, and Benjamin Stillman, who were a constant source of joy.
Penny is survived by her dear sister, Paulette Maurer, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Teresa Maurer, and her brothers Kenny, Joey, and Jeffery Maurer, as well as her sister Cheryl Wakemann.
In recognizing the impact of Penny’s life, we invite those who knew her to celebrate her memory. Visitation will be held on October 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at Waypoint Church in St. Charles, Missouri, at 5:00 PM.
Penny Jean Stillman's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we remember her today, let us carry forward her teachings of love and support, ensuring her spirit lives on in all of us.
