Peter Nicholas Kachulis, 72, of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
He was born to the late William and Gloria Kachulis, December 7, 1951, in Pittsburg, Ca where his father was serving in the military. Peter graduated from Kirksville Missouri High School and later attended college at the University of Kirksville. Peter enjoyed playing football in high school.
Peter married the late Barbara Kachulis in 1978, and they lived together in O’Fallon, Missouri until her death in 2017. They met at Pizza Hut where they both worked. He jumped in with both feet to a family with a single mom and three children. He always treated them like his own, offering support and love.
Peter held various jobs throughout his life but spent the largest part of it as computer programmer. He enjoyed working with computers and would spend countless hours online crafting videos and sharing his creative work. He often made videos for family members and friends. In his latter years, Peter enjoyed working with his Stefanina’s Family. He always greeted everyone with a smile and kind heart.
Peter loved his cat Peanuts and spent most of his time pampering her. He was also an avid sports fan and spent a lot time watching it on TV. He had a passion for music and was also very proud of a band that he managed in the 70's called Kasper.
Peter is survived by his daughter: Brenda Smith. He also is survived by eight grandchildren – Courtney Bare, Crystal Bare, AJ Bare, Jake Renfroe, Jared Renfroe, Jackson Smith, Emma Smith and Tasha Sommer, five great-grandchildren and two siblings- Paul Kachulis and Phillip Kachulis.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Kachulis, son Kenneth Bare, daughter Deborah Kincaid, parents William and Gloria Kachulis, and Aunt Georgia Kachulis.
A memorial will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 2pm to 4pm Saturday November 2nd. Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home Saturday November 2nd at 4pm.
