Ramona L. Smith, affectionately known as "Nana", age 79, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. She was born in Bismarck, Missouri on June 25, 1944 to James and Naomi Bunch (nee Honea).

Ramona is survived by her beloved son, Richard E. Straughan; loving grandchildren, Joshua James (Jennifer) Deason, Alissa M. (Sean Crews) Deason, and Andrea M.N. Emery; treasured great-grandchildren, Owen James Deason, Kira Diane Deason, Ezra Allon Deason, Trenten Allon Deason, Nevaeh L.M. Deason, Bailey L. Gray, Skyler J. Gray, Michaela L.M. Emery, Austin C. Emery, and Dylan J. Emery; dear brothers and sisters, James P. Bunch, Leroy Bunch, Michael A. Bunch, Alice Buffington, Nancy Woods, and Helen Allen; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James E. "Dude" Bunch; mother, Naomi Rebecca Bunch; daughter, Sherry Lynn (husband Allon survives) Bailey; and brothers, Robert L. Bunch and Carl Ray Bunch.

Ramona was an avid reader. She had an extensive collection. Ramona enjoyed spending time with friends playing Bunko and Bingo. It thrilled "Nana" to see her great-grandchildren laugh and play. Ramona was very proud of her two children she raised. Family was everything to "Nana". She was an animal lover, particularly dogs. Her most recent dog was "Princess", who was treated as such. She will be missed by all her friends and family.
