Randy Nathan Peters, a devoted family man, passed away on March 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by warmth, joy, and an unwavering love for those close to him. Born on June 24, 1975, in St. Louis, Missouri, Randy grew up in an environment that nurtured his caring and spirited nature. He was a proud graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School, class of 1994, where he laid the foundation for the values he upheld throughout his life.

Randy’s professional journey was marked by commitment and consistency. He worked for many years as a cashier at both Walmart and Lowe’s, roles in which he was known for his friendly demeanor and the positive interactions he fostered with customers and colleagues alike. His work ethic and his approachable, kindhearted personality made him a respected presence in his community.

Outside of his career, Randy was a man of many interests that brought him great joy. A lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, he cherished the excitement of baseball seasons and shared this passion with friends and family. Randy’s love extended to the natural world; he adored his pets, especially his beloved dog, Tootsie, and found solace and adventure in exploring wildlife during weekend trips with friends. These excursions were not only a means of relaxation but an expression of his adventurous spirit and love for discovery. Additionally, Randy had an appreciation for good food and good company, often delighting in visits to new restaurants and local wineries, experiences he enjoyed sharing with those he cared about.

Randy’s personality was infectious. He was loving, caring, happy, and goofy—traits that made him both endearing and unforgettable to all who knew him. His fun-loving and silly nature brought lightness and laughter to everyday moments, and his deep family orientation underscored everything he did. Family was the cornerstone of Randy’s life, and he treasured the bonds he shared with his loved ones, who meant the absolute world to him.

He is survived by his parents, William and Patricia Peters; his sister, Jill (Sergio) Serrano; and his brother, Mark (Christel) Peters. Randy also leaves behind three nephews: Neal Serrano, Andrew Peters, and Jacob Serrano; two nieces, Payton Peters and Abby Serrano; and a great-niece, Blakely Serrano. His circle of friends included Carl Cherko and Charlie Schneider, along with a host of other family members and friends who were touched by his generosity and spirit.
