Raymond Arthur Ciolek, who was born on February 16, 1932, passed away on October 22, 2026.
Raymond will be remembered as a devoted family man who took great pride in those he loved. He was very family-oriented and cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. He was also proud of his Polish heritage, a part of his identity he carried with warmth and dignity throughout his life.
Those who knew Raymond will remember his easy humor and the joy he found in telling jokes. He enjoyed watching old westerns and was known for the familiar stories he would share each time family and friends came to visit, stories that became part of the rhythm of being with him. He also showed his love in quiet, thoughtful ways. He would often slip away to begin washing the dishes before dinner had even ended, making sure no one else had to take on the task. These simple acts of care reflected the generous and considerate spirit that defined him.
Raymond is survived by his sons, Raymond S. Ciolek and his wife, Marcia, and Edward Ciolek; and by his daughter, Elizabeth Tibbs and her husband, Robert. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, James, Adelle, Justin, Casey, R.J., Danielle, and A.J.; ten great-grandchildren, Jonah, Ada, Stella, Renzo, Bobby, Christopher, James, Monica, Jaeden, and Roman II; and many other family members and friends who will hold his memory close.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ciolek; his father, Andrew Ciolek; his mother, Eleanor Ciolek; his daughter, Debra Macanufo; his brothers, John Ciolek, Lawrence Ciolek, Edward Ciolek, Leo Griszowiak, Louis Ciolek, Clarence Ciolek, Alfredo Ciolek, Andrew Ciolek, and Robert Ciolek; and his sister, Regina Knobbe.
Raymond’s life was marked by love for family, pride in his heritage, kindness in everyday moments, and a sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Raymond's name to Saint Louis Polinia.
