Richard Edward Ellison

Richard Edward Ellison, 83, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2026. A private ceremony will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date. Born in Troy, Missouri on June 7th, 1942, Richard helped with the family farm until he entered the Marines. He served his country in the military and then joined the police force for St. Louis. Richard spent his life in service of his country, his neighbors and his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild at his favorite restaurants and home.

Richard is proceeded in death by his wife Mary Jo Ellison. He is survived by his children Corrine Meiser (David) and Chris Cain (Steve), his five grandchildren Katelyn, Michael, Steven, Nathan and Ashley, and his great-grandchild Lorelei. Richard will be remembered for his strong determination, his strength and his deep love for his family. His witty sarcasm will be remembered for bringing laughter to all occasions.
