Richard William Singer, born January 16, 1934, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. His departure marks the end of a richly lived life, replete with creativity, warmth, and a deep love for both family and his many passions.

Richard was a man of many talents and interests. As an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, he found joy in the simple pleasures of baseball games and the camaraderie they fostered. His creative spirit shone brightly through his woodworking and painting, where he expressed his artistic vision. Music was another essential part of his life; he was remarkably musically inclined and proficient in playing the harmonica, bass, clarinet, and piano. He was deeply involved with " The Hawk Ridge Boys Band" and "The Dapper Dan's".  Beyond performance, Richard delighted in inventing gadgets—a testament to his ingenuity and inventive mind. His artistic abilities extended to pen and ink drawing, a discipline he took great pride in. Known for his sense of humor, Richard enjoyed telling jokes and bringing smiles to those around him.

Alongside these hobbies, Richard found peace and satisfaction in fishing, gardening, and tending to the lake and property he cherished. Golf was another pastime he embraced with enthusiasm, as was listening to music, which nurtured his soul throughout his life. He will greatly be missed by his feline companion, Chester.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Sondra Singer, who shared his journey and stood by his side with steadfast love. Together, they raised two daughters: Shari Mahon, married to Kenneth, and Cathy Antle, married to Ed. Their legacy continues through seven grandchildren: Micheal Mahon, Eddie Antle, married to Molly; Andrea Johnson, married to Erik; Andy Antle, and his finace Andrea; Jeremiah Antle, married to Amber; Jared Antle; and Caitlyn Antle. The family’s growth is further enriched by four great-grandchildren—Edwin Antle, Ansley Antle, Scarlett Antle, and Amiri Perez; He also leaves behind his brother, Robert Singer.  Richard’s extended family includes three loving nieces—Laurie, Jane, and Becky—as well as a broad circle of other family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Singer; his mother, Leona Singer; infant grandchild, Molly Antle, and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Singer. Their memories remain a cherished part of his life’s story.

Richard William Singer’s life was a testament to creativity, dedication, and the enduring strength of family. He filled his days with music, art, laughter, and a deep connection to the world around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
