Robert Louis Riske, born July 13, 1971, passed away on August 17, 2026. His loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will be cherished by family, friends, and the many whose lives he touched during his fifty-five years.
Robert dedicated a significant portion of his life to his passion for automobiles, working as an auto mechanic for many years. His skills were honed early on, after attending Ranken Technical, an experience that laid the foundation for his successful career in automotive repair.
Outside of work, Robert was a man of diverse interests and a lover of the outdoors. Deeply enthusiastic about cars, he relished the simple pleasure of spending time outside, enjoying the warmth and light of a sunny day. In his younger years, he found great enjoyment in fishing, an activity that brought him moments of peace and satisfaction. The excitement of car races also drew him, a natural extension of his lifelong appreciation for everything automotive.
Family and friends will remember Robert for his humor and easy friendship. A recognized jokester, Robert infused gatherings with laughter and lively conversation. Persistent in his endeavors, he approached challenges with determination and always found a way to achieve his goals. He was noted for a strong sense of protectiveness and an unwavering willingness to help others—a quality seen time and again by those who turned to him in times of need. To Robert, helping was not an obligation but an extension of who he was.
He leaves behind a loving family. Robert is survived by his son, Tyler Louis Riske, and his daughter, Tessa (Jeremy) Sherman. His sister, Malinda (Kevin) Rodermund, and brother, Edward Richter also survives him, as do his nieces Amber (Keith Welker) Richter, Alysa Gould, Lauren Richter, and Megan Richter. His nephews Evan Gould, Daniel (Suzy) Richter, Blake Richter, Ty Rodermund, Jax Rodermund, and Reed Rodermund, and many great-nieces and nephews all hold his memory dear. Robert's beloved spouse, Tonya Riske, mourns his passing and celebrates his life and the years they shared together.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles Riske, and his mother, Linda Louise Riske. He is also reunited with his brothers, Charles Richter and David Richter, as well as his grandparents Charles Riske, Thelma Riske, and Ethel Thele.
Those who knew Robert will recall his enjoyment of the simple things—a good cigarette, a shared joke, a sunny afternoon. Though he has departed this life, the legacy of kindness, humor, and determination he leaves behind resonates in the hearts of those who knew him.
