You and your families would always see him as a fixture at the basketball gym or the soccer field. He was honored as the St. Charles District CYC person of the year award in 2022. Bobs favorite past time was bowling (He achieved a 300 and 299 ring), coaching, boating, and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with his family. His dedication to his family was unmatched. He most loved being surrounded by his six grandchildren. There is nothing he would not do for them. He showed up for every event to support them! He never missed a game, awards ceremony, Grandparent’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Graduation, or a random call to pick one up from school. He was their absolute biggest encourager and was always so proud. A true example of what a grandfather should be.
If you were to ask Bob where his favorite place was, he would reply I do not have a favorite place, I have favorite people and wherever my favorite people are becomes my favorite place. It is understood that his favorite people were his family. It was proven everyday by the unwavering love we felt from him.
It is hard to express and to put into words how phenomenal Bob was. Truly, everyone would say that they were left better for having known him and to know him was to love him. He was deeply loved and will forever be missed by our family and the community. There will never be another G.O.A.T like Bob Rodermund.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in honor of Bob’s name to the All- Saints Athletic Association or Saint Vincent DePaul.
