Robert E. Wilkinson was born on April 26, 1947, and passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 79 after a three-year battle with cancer. Bob grew up in Florissant, MO and graduated from St. Thomas Aquanis High School in 1965. He attended Florissant Valley Community College and earned his associate’s degree. He went on to join the U.S. Airforce where he served four years including time in Vietnam. After his military service, Bob became a painter and was a member of the Painter’s Local Union #115 for 53 years.
Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was the best at barbequing! His favorite hobbies were gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, walking, and listening to classical music. He coached his kids in soccer and loved the game and other sports including St. Louis Blues Hockey, NASCAR, and the St. Louis Cardinals. His kindness and thoughtfulness will be missed by many.
Bob is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beverly Wilkinson, brother, Tom Wilkinson, daughter, Dana Davis, stepdaughter, Vonda (Todd) Warren, and stepson, Roger (Theresa) Rekate. Granddaughter, Danielle Davis and step grandchildren: Ashley (Tyler) Porter, Alison (Nick) Matthews, Travis Warren, Kayla (Andrew) Vandeven, Kevin (Paige) Gribble, Katelyn (Jack) Meyer, Clark (Sierra) Gribble, Makenzie (James) Bond, Cristopher (Karen) Graif, and Jonathan (Charity) Graif. Bob had 17 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Harriette Wilkinson, stepdaughter, Mitzi Gribble, and son in law, Ray Davis.
