Roberta Stabenow, born on May 19, 1939, passed away on October 24, 2026.

Roberta will be remembered as a woman who found joy in both simple pleasures and shared experiences. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and treasured the fellowship that came with having luncheons with a group of longtime friends, whom she often referred to as “the mates”. She also loved traveling with her husband, Jerry, and their dog, Bentley in their RV and attending classic car shows, embracing the adventure and companionship those outings brought. For more than 15 years, she and her husband spent winters in Florida as snowbirds, creating a cherished rhythm of life filled with warmth, travel, and time together. Above all, Roberta valued spending time with her family and was happiest when with them.

Her family was an important and enduring part of her life. She is survived by her son, Steven Epperson; her grandchild, Lauren Epperson; her step-daughter, Kimm Harris, and Kimm’s husband, Larry Harris; her step-daughter, Karen Krueger, and Karen’s husband, Dennis Krueger; her granddaughter, Amy Roblek; and her great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Aria. Each of them carries forward memories of her presence, her companionship, and the care she shared throughout her life.

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Stabenow; her mother, Dorothy Groh; and her father, George Patton.

She will be remembered with love by those who knew her and by the family and friends who shared in the many moments that made her life so meaningful.
