Roger Dale Bollinger, a man whose life was defined by dedication, resilience, and an unwavering spirit, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, in Florissant, Missouri. Born on June 4, 1954, in Granite City, Illinois, Roger’s journey was one filled with hard work, heartfelt connections, and a passion for life’s simple pleasures.

Roger devoted 28 years of his life to Graham Packaging, a testament to his steadfast commitment and tireless work ethic. Retirement did not slow him down; instead, it ushered in a new chapter as he embraced a part-time role with Classic Car Studio, where he continued to fuel his love for cars for over a decade. His days were marked by the same energy and drive he carried throughout his career, never letting obstacles or treatments hinder his spirit.

A true jack of all trades, Roger was always on the move, never content to remain idle. He found immense joy in fishing and deer hunting, activities that connected him to nature and offered moments of quiet reflection. Yet, it was his time spent working on cars that brought him the greatest happiness—especially to his beloved 1970 Volkswagen Bug, his prized possession and a symbol of his lifelong curiosity and craftsmanship.

Selflessness was woven into the fabric of Roger’s character. Known for always putting others first, he dedicated himself to the wellbeing of those around him, embodying kindness and generosity in all his actions. His hard work was matched only by his unwavering support for friends and family, who will remember him as a steadfast pillar of strength and love.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Bollinger; his children, Shane (Dana) Bailey, Richelle (Scott) Helm, Christina (Curtis) McClanahan; step-daughter Kimberly Carlton; and his cherished grandchildren, Emilie (Clayton), Drake (Sienna), Madyson (Cooper), Abrie (Steven), Jordyn, Melanie, Kaitlyn, and Haidynn. He also leaves behind his sisters Doris Bayer, Debbie Atkins, Jan Powell, Tammy Bradshaw, Tina Sadler, his brother Jason Bollinger, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; all of whom carry forward his legacy of warmth and resilience.

He joins in eternal rest his mother, Melissa Mae Bollinger, father, Noble Bollinger, brother Jerry Bollinger, and sister Melissa Rowold, whose memories continue to be a source of comfort and strength.

Roger Dale Bollinger’s life was a vivid tapestry of hard work, passion, and heartfelt devotion. His enduring spirit, boundless energy, and generous heart have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer walk among us, the love he shared and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
