Ronald Joseph Franks

January 7, 1950 — February 7, 2024

Ronald "Ron" Joseph Franks, age 74, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on January 7, 1950 to Joseph and Agnes Franks (nee Hamilton).

Ron fiercely loved his family. His children and grandchildren were his joy. Anyone who knew Ron realized this was a man you could count on to do anything you might need. He grew up in a baseball loving family, which carried over into adulthood and his love for the St. Louis Cardinals. In his free time, Ron enjoyed attending the many sporting events his grandchildren participated in, figuring out who the Cardinals should get in the next trade deal, and playing ball with his beloved dog, Sadie. His sudden death was a shock to all of us who loved him. We will miss his smile, his laugh, his love.

Because of his love for the Cardinals, we are requesting anyone who attends the service to please wear red or some Cardinal attire. Play ball, Ron!

Ron is survived by his wife, Bonnie Franks (nee Hoover); four children, Shanee Franks, Lori (Jason) Hoag, Joseph (Josie Butler) Franks, Brett Franks; four grandchildren, William Hoag, Benjamin Hoag, Abby Hoag, Bird Hoag; brother, Robert Franks; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Pauline Franks; father, Joseph Francis Franks; and infant son, Christopher Franks.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with Mass immediately following on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Church of St. Cletus located at 2705 Zumbehl Rd, St Charles, MO 63301.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Honor Flight of Greater St. Louis click here or or Cardinals Care click here in Ron's name.
