Ronald Willenberg, passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on July 25, 1940, Ronald lived a life marked by warmth, dedication, and an enthusiasm for the simple pleasures that brought joy to those around him.
Ronald found great satisfaction working on cars, a hobby that reflected his hands-on, problem-solving nature. He also enjoyed dancing, the art of the barbecue, and camping, activities through which he connected deeply with family and friends. An avid sports fan, Ronald was particularly fond of watching baseball and football, with unwavering support for the St. Louis Cardinals. His love of life was evident in his commitment to spending quality time with close friends and family, and he embraced every moment with joy.
Ronald’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He cherished his wife and was a proud father to four daughters: Tammy Jones, Trina Spiess (James), Theresa Miller, and Tricia Klagge (Timothy). His enthusiasm for family extended to his grandchildren—Jeremy Collins (Elissa), Sara Howle (Michael), Nathan Spiess, Nicholas Spiess (Tracy), Gina Miller, Courtney Miller, Brooke Miller, Robert Klagge, Nikki Dieckhaus (Jacob), Paige Niedringhaus, and Payton Fuentes (Domonic)—and his delight in his great-grandchildren, Joseph James Spiess, Riley Spiess, Kayden Niedringhaus, Wesley Dieckhaus, and Giovanni Fuentes, was a testament to his caring nature. Family vacations to Destin, Florida, were among his most treasured experiences, and he took great joy in attending and supporting his grandchildren’s games and activities.
Ronald is survived by his wife, his daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Janet Willenberg, and an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his father, Ocey Willenberg; mother, Susan Willenberg; and brother, Russell Willenberg.
Ronald Willenberg lived life to the fullest, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and boundless enthusiasm for family and friendship. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
