Scott Lee Wade, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on June 4, 2026, in O'Fallon, Missouri, at the age of 68. He was born on January 17, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent his life rooted in the community he called home.
Scott shared over 30 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Mary Wade, a partnership built on love, loyalty, and a life well lived together. He was a proud father to his daughter, Rebecca Ford (Chase), and a doting grandfather to his two young grandchildren, Callen and Elowyn, whom he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his brother, Mark (Julie), who shared a lifetime of memories with him. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Janice and Claud, and nephew, Matthew.
Those who knew Scott understood that family was everything to him. Whether gathered around the house or simply enjoying a quiet moment together, he found his greatest happiness in the company of the people and animals he loved. His faithful dogs and cat were a cherished part of daily life, a reflection of his gentle and caring nature.
In his quieter moments, Scott could often be found lost in a classic film or behind the wheel on a long, unhurried drive down a country road. Both were a perfect expression of who he was, someone who appreciated the timeless, the simple, and the beautiful.
Scott will be deeply missed by his wife Mary, daughter Rebecca (Chase), grandchildren Callen and Elowyn, brother Mark (Julie), brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer. Details will be announced by the family.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Scott's honor to Clowder House Foundation Cat Rescue or Five Acres Animal Shelter.
