Sean Anthony Hayes passed away on July 22, 2025. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 6, 1980, to Mary Ellen Norton-Hayes and Terry-Stephen Hayes.
Sean graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory School in 1999, then he went on to graduate from Parks College of Saint Louis University in 2003, where he received his pilot's license.
He is survived by his wife, Kristinia Hayes (nee Goins); his three children, Reid, Aiden, and, Mayah; and his siblings, Michelle, Robert "Cody" (Lauren), and Kelsey. He was adored by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
Sean loved spending his time with his family and friends. seeking out all the thrills life had to offer. whether that was skydiving, flying, taking cross country road trips or spending many sunny days on the water. Sean loved to surf, to cook great meals and most of all he always had at least a few practical jokes in the works at any given time. Sean’s quick wit and smirk often left those around him laughing or with another riling story to tell for years afterward. If you caught the gleam of mirth in his Irish eyes, you could be sure that there would be fun to be had. Never wanting to be in the spotlight, Sean was often a silent but steady friend to those he knew. No matter the hour, Sean could be depended on to answer any need from his friends or family. He was a navigator to help you get home, he was an ear to listen and a compassionate man that noticed the strengths in those around him even when they were uncertain.
Using his avid desire to continue learning and utilizing the extensive skill set that he was constantly adding to, he served as the Facilities Director at Proper Asset Management for the last several years.
Sean was loved by many, his life gave meaning to the phrase “May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home”.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Sean's name to Parks College of Saint Louis University.
