Sharon K. Echele, born on June 10, 1948, in St. Charles, Missouri, gracefully embraced life until her passing on March 28, 2025, in the same beloved city that witnessed her journey. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Sharon's vibrant spirit and selfless heart left an indelible mark on all who had the joy of knowing her.
Sharon's career of 30 years at Midtowne IGA in the bakery is a testament to her strong work ethic and loyalty. Outside of the bakery, she cherished the role of family caregiver, devoted countless hours to caring for her beloved grandchildren, ensuring their lives were filled with love and joy. True to her character, she preferred to stay busy and took on a part-time role at The Homestead, where she shared her warmth and wisdom alongside two of her granddaughters.
A passionate Cardinals baseball fan, Sharon loved cheering on her Redbirds. She also dedicated herself to supporting her children's and grandchildren's sporting dreams while rarely missing games throughout her extensive cheering career.
Her personality shone brightly through her kindness, compassion, and fun-loving spirit. Sharon was known for her selflessness and loyalty, always putting others before herself. She was a vivacious soul who loved shopping, dancing, gardening, listening to music, and traveling to Jupiter, FL to watch the Cardinals at spring training.
As the heart of the family, Sharon’s proudest moments involved time spent with her children: Lori (Christopher) Boster, Tracey (Michael) Disser, and Julie (Matthew) Chidster, as well as her grandchildren: Joshua (Sydney) Echele, Megan (Tyler) Webb, Allison Disser, Andrew Boster, Daniel Disser, Brody Chidster, and Brooklyn Chidster. Sharon's love also extends to her siblings: Don (Sharon) Hackman, and Debra Tennison, as well as many other loving family and friends. She also cherished her Ken Drive family and created countless memories with her neighbors over the years.
Sharon K. Echele is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Echele, her father Orvil Hackman, and her mother Marguerite Hackman. Their memories remain intertwined with hers, reminding us of the love and bonds that define family.
