Sheila Gist

Sheila "Hi Dear" Gist, age 76, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 in Saint Charles, Missouri. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on September 7, 1947 to Vincent and Maxine Brignola (nee Shy).

Sheila was genuinely one of a kind; she spread endless love, joy, and kindness, into this world. Dear loved spending time with her friends and family. She had a tendency to bring people in to her "Family" creating a strong bond. Whether it was sporting events, holidays, or happy hours, Dear was always the life of the party. Because she was a social butterfly, people were drawn to her. If you were lucky enough to have met her, she loved you and made you her friend. I'm sure when she met the Lord, her first words were; "Well, Hi Dear!" She was a treasure on earth and will now be Heaven's "Dearest" treasure.

Sheila is survived by her sons, Don (Renee) Gist, and Dave (Maureen B. Gist) Gist; her grandchildren, Breanna Gist, Samantha Gist, Danielle Gist, and Delaney Gist; her brother, Jerry Brignola; and her soulmate, W. Don Gist. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Brignola; her mother, Maxine Brignola.

Visitation will take place from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 pm at Sunday, April 21, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A celebration of life will immediately follow the service.
