Shirley J. Day, born February 8, 1949, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Shirley shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Bill Day. Their enduring partnership was built on love, respect, and steadfast support, creating a strong foundation for the family they cherished together.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Bill; her son, Robert Day and his wife, Roberta; her daughter, Heather Martin and her husband, Michael; and her treasured grandchildren, Annabelle (Kadyn Emily) Rudolph, Patrick Day, and Tori Day. She is also survived by her sisters, Sandy Lammert (Dennis) and Kathy Berns (Gary); her brother, Bill Kolath; her sister-in-law, Donna Kolath; and many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed by her love and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Pam Kolath, and her parents, William and Shirley Kolath.

Family was the center of Shirley’s life, and she found her greatest joy in the people she loved. She treasured every gathering, every conversation, and every opportunity to create lasting memories with those closest to her.

Shirley embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm. She was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs, cheering faithfully through every season. She enjoyed watching murder mysteries, relaxing at the beach while listening to the waves, and spending afternoons sharing laughter and conversation over a cold Diet Coke with friends. Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in making the season magical for her family through her generosity, traditions, and loving spirit.

In celebration of Shirley’s life, her family asks that guests attending the visitation wear Cardinals attire or something red in honor of her spirited support for her favorite teams.
