Stellina Ann “Kelly” Huff Lifritz of St. Charles, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Barnes St. Peters Hospital in St.Charles, Missouri surrounded by her family.
Stellina was born October 21, 1961 to John Harrison Huff Jr and Martha Ann Dieckmann Huff. She was born on her father’s birthday and was definitely a father’s girl. Her father nick named her Kelly and that stuck until she was grown. Most people still call her Kelly. She was named after her grandmother Stella. She graduated in 1980 from Kirkwood, Mo. Highschool. Then she went for a secretarial course at Patricia Stevens College in St. Louis, Mo.
During her lifetime Stellina had many different work experiences; secretary in a bank, secretary for a trucking firm, working with income tax forms during tax season, waitressing in several restaurants. Her final job was with UPS for 25 years. She worked loading the mail into the airplanes as well as other work within UPS. Her power of mental recall allowed her to remember most of the zip codes through the US and she was a very fast mail sorter. She will be most missed by her fellow partners at UPS.
She was an avid member of the DAR for several years.
Some of her hobbies were painting, picture taking, crocheting, and enjoying people. She loved taking pictures of flowers and was excellent at that. During her bout with cancer, she spent time crocheting Afghans for her children and friends. Some of her hand paintings were Christmas ornaments, painting on wine bottles for friends, and other items. She loved books and reading poetry especially Shakespeare’s sonnets.
Stellina was a strong, selfless woman whose sweetness touched everyone she met. As a devoted mother, she gave endlessly—working two or three jobs at a time to make sure her family never went without. She opened her heart and her home to so many people, never asking for anything in return. Friends of her children became like her own, always welcomed and cared for with her quiet strength and unwavering generosity.
She taught us through example to be kind, to work hard, and to love deeply. Her resilience was unmatched, her spirit unbreakable, and her sacrifices immeasurable. Stellina’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the family and friends and coworkers that will carry her love forward.
Her idea of a great vacation was to be near the water especially in the Gulf Port Mississippi area. She probably would have lived there given the chance.
Stellina met and married her ex-husband Daniel Walter Lifritz who has survived her in June 1990. To that union were born her pride and joy; 3 children, Joshua Walter Lifritz, Jacob Harrison Lifritz (Amanda Anderson) , and Hila Danielle Lifritz Pearson (Jake Pearson) who survive her.
