Susan Elizabth Clark, 73, of Hawk Point passed away November 23rd 2025 in her home.
She was born to the late Albert & Sophie Harbord on July 31, 1952 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey.
After earning her Bachelors of Science in secondary education, Sue taught history for Francis Howell North Highschool. After retiring in 2017 she was a substitute teacher for Troy middle and high school. She cared for all of her students and valued the impact she could make in their lives dearly.
Sue was a gentle soul and a devout Catholic with an ardent passion for gardening. She loved to travel, some of her favorite stories to tell being her adventures over the years. She adored her late husband Dan Clark and the happiness he brought into her life. Their home in Hawk Point was their happy place and she reminisced fondly on the time they spent together.
Sue could have a dry sense of humor with witty phrases that made herself laugh. A self-proclaimed yet responsible pyro, she enjoyed the simple warmth of a fire she had lit and would welcome anyone to join her in its company. Like her flame, she brought lightness wherever she went.
She loved being a teacher and cherished the life long friendships she made with both her students and the colleagues she met along the course of her career. As well the close relationships with her neighbors in Hawk Point, whom she held in high regard, and was grateful for their presence in her life. She adored all of her children, grandchildren and her great grand-daughter very much. In addition to a host of other family members, she cherished the bonds made over a lifetime with the folks from her home state of New Jersey and from her years being a dedicated Girl Scout troop leader.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: son Donald (Julie) Brogan, and daughters Christine (Brad) Dunn & Kathleen (Kenneth) Welch.
Seven grandchildren: Alex, Colton, Aidan, Rylan, Patrick, Torin and Astella & great grand-daughter Dahlia.
Siblings and their spouses: sister Linda (Walter) Schimming and brother John (Michelle) Harbord.
As well as her beloved kitties Ferris & Bueller.
She is preceded by her beloved spouse, Dan Clark, parents Albert and Sophie Harbord, and grand-daughter Kelsey Brogan.
