Sybil Marie Parquet, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in St. Charles, Missouri, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on December 31, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sybil brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered.
Sybil was a wonderful and vibrant spirit who loved her family deeply. Her boisterous laugh and keen sense of humor lit up every room, making her a delight to be around. She had a natural ability to make others feel welcome and loved. Those who knew her will remember her not only for her kind heart but also for her passion for life, which was evident in everything she did.
An avid gardener, Sybil found solace and joy in tending to her plants, especially her beloved roses. She poured her love into her gardening, nurturing each flower as she nurtured her family. Sybil’s pride shone through when she talked about her accomplishments—her children, Thomas and Gennora, and her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Their laughter filled her heart with love and was the source of her greatest pride.
Sybil is survived by her son, Thomas Parquet, and daughter, Gennora (Michael) Harris; her father, Charles (Sarah) Riley; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Tyrone Creecy, Gerald Riley, Shanikia Ellis, and Fernell Riley. She was preceded in death by her life partner, Kevin Sanders, her son, Kerry Parquet, her mother, Audrey Riley, and her brother, Charles Riley, Jr.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Sybil's life will be held on November 22, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, from 4 PM until 6 PM.
