Tanner Scott Sutton, a beloved son, brother, and friend, left this world unexpectedly on March 10, 2026, at the young age of sixteen. Born on December 9, 2009, in Maryville, Illinois, Tanner's life, though brief, was filled with warmth, kindness, and a generosity of spirit that touched all who were fortunate to know him.
Tanner was a child of many talents and passions. His boundless creativity came alive in the arts and crafts he so loved, a testament to the imaginative soul that resided within him. His family cherished each piece he created, proudly displaying his works as a reflection of his kind heart. Tanner also enjoyed adventurous days spent fishing and camping with his grandfather, which remain some of his proudest memories. The bond he shared with his siblings was unbreakable, infused with laughter and shared moments that will forever echo in their hearts.
Deeply dedicated to his education, Tanner attended JTC Academy in St. Louis, where he was known to be a helpful student, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His caring nature made him not just a friend but a true companion to those around him. He played football and basketball with gusto, and delighted in video games and hanging out with his family—all activities that brought him joy and reflected his loving personality.
Tanner is survived by his loving mother, Brittany Sutton, and his stepfather, Antonio Acabal. He leaves behind his cherished sisters, LeAnn Clines, Miranda Acabal, Jocelyn Acabal, and Aubrey Acabal, along with his brothers, Tristan Sutton, Anthony (Alexis) Babb, and Jordan Clines. Tanner's grandmothers, Marlene Kenny and Amalia Lopez, and grandfathers, John Sutton and Jose Guadalupe Hernandez, hold his memory dearly, along with his niece and great-grandmothers, Sherry Douglas and Mary Jones.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Roy Kenny, Sr., and his great-grandfather, Melvin O. Jones, who now welcome him with open arms.
