Throughout her life, Tara was defined by her steadfast devotion to her family. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Michael Bensinger, who was her partner and confidante. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and commitment. Her children—Sean, Michaela, and McKenzie Bensinger—were a continual source of pride and joy. Tara embraced motherhood wholeheartedly, guiding her children with encouragement and unwavering support.
Among her proudest accomplishments, Tara cherished her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother most deeply. She found immense joy in her grandson, Kaidyn Bensinger, dedicating much of her time to building a special and unbreakable bond with him. Moments spent with Kaidyn were treasured, and her joy radiated whenever the family gathered.
Tara was a beloved daughter to Richard and Karen Keffer, whose influence and values shaped her life. She shared a deep sisterhood with Dana Keffer and Nikki Townsend, building relationships grounded in understanding and loyalty. The family also remembers her dearly departed sister, Stacey Keffer, whose memory Tara held close.
Those who knew Tara will remember her for her big heart—always giving, selflessly placing others before herself. Despite her occasional stubbornness, her compassion and generosity touched all who crossed her path. Family and friends are invited to honor Tara’s life during visitation on August 12, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be held with a graveside service at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301, beginning at 12:45 p.m.
Tara Ann Bensinger's unwavering love for her family and her enduring spirit of generosity will be missed, but her memory will be honored always.
