Teresa Louise Rost, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri. Born on January 28, 1947, in St. Louis, Teresa’s life was marked by unwavering love, dedication, and a spirited zest that touched all who knew her. A resident of St. Charles, she considered that to be her hometown.
Teresa was a woman of extraordinary energy and warmth, known for her vibrant personality—she loved talking to everyone and, while she could sometimes be a little crabby, those who knew her well understood it was all part of her unique charm. She embodied what some would call “organized chaos,” a reflection of her lively spirit and unyielding involvement in the lives of those she loved.
Her career as a beautician spanned over fifty remarkable years, during which she owned her own salon, Midtown Family Haircare, a staple in the community that endures to this day. Her passion for beauty and care was not just professional but deeply personal, as she brought confidence and joy to countless clients.
Teresa’s proudest accomplishments were her devoted marriage to her husband Vincent, a love that endured through life's many challenges including separations due to his work travel. They traveled all over the world together, going to places as far as Australia with him and enjoying their time in Hawaii. Their partnership was one of true harmony and affection until his passing. To be closer to Vincent in West Virginia, Teresa even sold her business, demonstrating her steadfast commitment to family. Beyond her marriage, Teresa took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were the center of her world.
Those fortunate enough to share time with Teresa recall many treasured memories: the thrill of driving her Mustang convertible with the top down across states from West Virginia to Missouri; boating adventures with her children; and being a wonderful travel companion to her daughter Alicia, exploring places near and far with the grandkids in tow. She also took a memorable trip to Mexico with Alicia at an all-inclusive resort. Sports were a vital part of her life, too—whether cheering on her son Jason in football or supporting her grandchildren in a multitude of athletic pursuits, Teresa’s enthusiasm was infectious. She was also an avid Cardinals fan and could often be found watching the game. She also found joy in fishing with Vincent and her children going out on the boat all the time, getting lost in each other and the rivers, living in the family cabin, camping under the stars, and basking in the soothing sound of ocean waves at the beach. Her love of cooking provided another means to bring family and friends together in warmth and comfort.
Teresa leaves behind a loving family who cherish her memory profoundly: her children Alicia Davis, Jason (Kimberly) Rost, and Sara (Wayman) Floyd; her stepson Vincent (Carolyn) Rost; grandchildren Mark Davis IV, Giavanna Rost, Daisy Davis, Julia Jones, and Vincent Floyd; as well as great-grandchildren Jacob Davis, Kainoa Plautz, Aurora Plautz, and Knox Welker. She is also survived by her brother Glenn (Joyce) Coy and sister Janet (Ralph) Boucher. Their lives remain forever enriched by Teresa’s enduring love and spirited presence.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Vincent Rost, cherished grandchildren Jesse Lee Davis and Lucas Todero, great-grandson Jesse Lee Horne, and her parents Millard and Marjorie Coy. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know them.
A visitation will be held on May 20, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, followed by a memorial service from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and a memorial gathering until 8:00 p.m. at the same location, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Teresa Louise Rost’s life was a radiant tapestry woven with threads of devotion, laughter, adventure, and heartfelt connection. Though her voice is now silent, her spirit remains vibrant among us, a beacon of love and strength that will forever illuminate the path of all who were blessed to walk beside her.
