Terry Don Janes, a cherished father, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this world peacefully on June 26, 2025, in Creve Coeur, Missouri, with his beloved parents by his side. Born on July 11, 1960, in Paragould, Arkansas, Terry carried a spirit of kindness and generosity throughout his life that touched the hearts of many.
Terry graduated from Ft. Zumwalt High School in 1978, a beginning that would lead him on a star-studded journey through both personal and professional arenas. He began his career at GM, where he honed his skills and nurtured his creativity before seizing the opportunity to open his own business in 2008. As a graphic designer specializing in the sign and vehicle wrap industry, Terry blossomed into a creative force, touching the lives of those around him by helping their visions come to life.
His personality was as vibrant as the designs he created; Terry would do anything for those he cared about. He had a knack for making others feel valued and cherished. His pride and joy were his two sons, Dustin and Denny, whom he admired deeply. They were not just his accomplishments but the embodiment of his legacy. Terry beamed with pride as a devoted father, pouring love and wisdom into their lives.
Terry's life was enriched by his love for the great outdoors. A passionate hunter and fisherman, he found solace in nature's embrace, relishing the quiet moments spent by the water’s edge or the thrill of chasing down a prize catch. His adventurous spirit thrived on the racetracks, where car racing was more than a hobby—it was a testament to his love for speed and competition. When he wasn’t on the hunting grounds or at a race, you could find him riding Harleys with friends, enjoying the breeze and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Terry is survived by his beloved sons, Dustin Janes and Denny Janes; his treasured grandson, Kaiden Janes; his loving brothers, Timothy (Sonia) Janes and Trent (Erin) Janes; his sister-in-law, Christy Sichra; as well as former wives Patti Grasso and Anita Janes, with whom he shared a deep bond as the mother of his children.
He was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Todd Janes, whose memory remains a cherished part of the family's heart.
As we remember Terry, we celebrate a life devoted to love, creativity, and adventure—a life that sought to uplift those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, fun stories, and a passionate spirit that will forever resonate in the lives he touched. As his loved ones reflect on their memories, they find comfort in knowing that Terry’s laughter and joy will continue to live on in their hearts.
Terry's services will be private, with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date for his friends and family. An announcement will be made by Terry's family on Facebook once services are scheduled.
