Listen to Obituary

Theodore R. Pearl, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on August 22, 1944, Theodore’s life was marked by dedication, kindness, and a steadfast commitment to those he cared for.

Theodore was a quiet, humble man who found his greatest happiness in the simple comforts of home. A true homebody, he cherished spending time with the best birthday present he ever received; his dachshund Gemma and her furry sister, Sophie. His four-legged babies were constant companions and brought him endless joy.

In his younger years, Ted dedicated countless hours to coaching youth baseball, basketball, and soccer. He was a talented coach who took pride in teaching not only the game but also the values of hard work, sportsmanship, and teamwork. He was a passionate dirt-track racing fan and never missed an opportunity to support his favorite driver. His love of sports remained with him throughout his life: the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Mizzou Tigers were all near and dear to his heart.

Ted dedicated 38 remarkable years to McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. He first hired in as as SMAR for the union and later transferred to Maintenance as a Layout Draftsman and lastly into Procurement.  He took immense pride in his work and the mission of the organization. Throughout his career, he was known for his meticulous attention to detail. He will be remembered fondly by so many that had the privilege of working along side of him.

Ted’s home was a gathering place for family; his door was always open to visits from his children and grandchildren. Some of his favorite moments were spent around the kitchen table enjoying Peggy’s homemade waffles and a fresh cup of coffee that he spent years teaching Peggy how to perfect.

While he wasn’t always one to express affection with words, his love was evident in the quiet ways he showed up for those he cared about. His steady presence, dependability, and unwavering devotion to his family spoke volumes and will be remembered long after his passing.

Ted’s legacy lives on through the family he loved deeply and the countless memories shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

Theodore is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Pearl. Their bond was a testament to love and partnership, reflecting years of shared dreams, challenges, and joys. Together, they created a life rich with shared memories, mutual respect, and deep affection—a legacy that will be treasured always. He is also survived by two sons, Theran (Lisa) Pearl, Ted (Kanda) Pearl; daughter, Danielle (Anthony) Hayden; eight grandchildren, Tyler (Gabrielle) Pearl, Kallie (Bradley) Wright, Haley Pearl, Hannah Pearl, Emma Pearl, Lainey Pearl, Isiah Hayden, Harper Hayden; five great-grandchildren, Cameron Pearl, Krew Pearl, Kyson Wright, Kolter Wright, Blakely Wright; Brother, Ron (Claire) Pearl; Sister, Faye (The late Richard) Doty; numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of other family members and friends.
