Thomas Jeffrey Fletcher graduated to heaven on November 24, 2023. Tom was born on October 3, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas A. Fletcher and Catherine Leah Fletcher (nee Creswell) and his sister, Linda (Arlan) Kaufman (nee Fletcher).
He was the beloved husband of Jacquelyn Fletcher (nee Hinson) for 61 years. Beloved father of Laurie (Dave) Johnson (nee Fletcher) and Thomas Jeffrey (Barbara) Fletcher Jr. Grandfather to Katelyn Goeke, Matthew Goeke, Zachary Fletcher, Bryce Fletcher, Blake (Makayla) Johnson, Nicole (Rob) Drescher (nee Johnson), and Megan Dickson. Brother to Judi O'Mara (nee Fletcher), James (Cathy) Fletcher, Gail (Dan) Harashe (nee Fletcher), Mark (Jayme) Fletcher, Scott (Debbie) Fletcher, and a dear uncle and friend to many.
Tom graduated from Normandy High School and still maintains friendships with many of his classmates. He attended Purdue University and the University of Missouri and took some classes at Washington University.
He worked for Federal Reserve Bank, FBI and McDonnell Douglas later to become Boeing. At McDonnell Douglas he worked on many aircraft and space programs. He retired after 30 years of service from Boeing. He then worked for CMBC Church for another 12 years.
His highest priority in life was his children, family, and his Lord. His parents taught him well. His family was very important to him.
Tom loved participating in different sports. He loved basketball and softball. Also while his children were growing up he always made sure he was at their games or coaching in come capacity. When he could not play anymore he loved watching the Cardinals, the Blues, and finally the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tom also liked camping. He started out with tent camping, then a pop-up camper, a trailer, and last a fifth-wheel camper. For 30 years, he and Jackie visited several Midwestern states with a group of 8 regular camping friends. Tom also loved spending time on his farm property in Northern Missouri.
He and Jackie were blessed to have been able to travel to many US states and then England, Scotland, Costa Rica, and Italy.
More importantly, Tom was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of CMBC for 50 years and now attended Summit Community Church. Tom was not a perfect man, but he strived every day to serve Christ and share the love to those around him.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376. A funeral ceremony will take place immediately following at 4:00pm also at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
