Thomas Glenn Leffelman Sr. was born on September 20, 1952, in Carlinville, Illinois, and passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in Jonesburg, Missouri. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and an unwavering passion for his work and family.
Throughout his life, Thomas dedicated himself to being an automobile mechanic, a career he cherished and embraced with enthusiasm. His expertise in working on Fords became well known, and he took great pride in every vehicle he touched. Those who knew him well recognized that his talents extended beyond the garage; he embodied a spirit that was truly one of a kind, marked by a huge heart and a warm smile.
Raised in a loving family, Thomas graduated from McCluer High School, where he stood out as a varsity wrestler. It was from his formative years that he developed the principles of hard work and determination, which would guide him throughout his life.
A lover of the outdoors, Thomas found joy riding bicycles, especially relishing long rides in Forest Park. He also cherished peaceful drives down picturesque country roads, recharging his spirit with every journey. However, it was the quality time spent with family that brought him the greatest happiness. Whether during holidays or on simple weekends, those moments with his loved ones were where he found his deepest joy and fulfillment.
Thomas was a dedicated father to his son, Thomas (Gina) Leffelman Jr., and a proud grandfather to Gianna Leffelman. The bond he shared with them was one of his proudest accomplishments, embodying the essence of his loving nature. He is also survived by his dear sister, Barb (Mike) Koerber, and his brother, David Leffelman, alongside a host of other family members and friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Richard and Doris Leffelman, and his brother, Kent Leffelman. Their loss left a significant mark on him, inspiring him to cultivate strong relationships with those still around him.
The family invites all who knew Thomas to join in celebrating his life on February 20, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM.
