Thomas Charles Wollenberg, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 4, 2025, in O'Fallon, Missouri, at the age of 66. Born on February 2, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, Thomas lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and a love for his family and his many interests.
Thomas's career included positions at numerous notable St. Louis companies, including IBM, McDonnell Douglas, Monsanto and Washington University. He received an Associates Degree in Applied Science and Data Processing from Florissant Valley Community College, which laid the foundation for his professional journey.
Beyond his accomplishments in the workplace, Thomas was a vibrant personality, known for his enthusiasm for sports and his profound love for dogs. He adopted, as well as fostered, numerous greyhounds and other rescue dogs. He also found joy in simple pleasures—immersing himself in his favorite music and owning and admiring fast cars. His warm spirit and zest for life touched all who knew him.
Thomas leaves behind a family that adored him dearly. He is survived by his siblings: Mary Ellen (Lon) Combs, Ernest "Skip" Wollenberg, Jr. and Jeanette (Michael) Weir, who will forever cherish their memories of their brother. His legacy continues through his nieces and nephews: Ernest "Chip" (Leann) Wollenberg, III, Karen (Brett) Stinson, Charles "Chuck" (Gloria) Wollenberg, Chad (Megan) Wollenberg, and Margie (Mike) Murr. Additionally, he takes with him the love of his great-nieces and great-nephews: Reagan Stinson, Lincoln Stinson, Amber Wollenberg, Jillian Wollenberg, Abby Wollenberg, and C.J. Wollenberg.
Thomas was also preceded in death by his parents, Ernest J. Wollenberg and Mary Wollenberg, and his sister-in-law, Ellen Wollenberg. He will be remembered not only as a cherished family member but as a friend who left indelible marks on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. He is reunited now with his loved ones, including his great-nephew Kyle Koerper and his many beloved furbabies.
As we remember Thomas Charles Wollenberg, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and loyalty. His spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the lives of those he leaves behind. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love of those he has lost, and remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
