Tommy Hatezich, born on May 15, 1958, passed away on August 10, 2026. Throughout his life, Tommy was known for his devout faith and commitment to his church, which guided him in both word and action. His spirituality was at the core of who he was, and he carried this strength with him in every aspect of his life.
Tommy dedicated many years to his work, excelling as a skilled computer programmer, working in various departments for the US Government. His profound knowledge of computers made him the trusted go-to person whenever friends, colleagues, or loved ones needed a helping hand or advice.
Education was important to Tommy, and he spent twelve formative years at the Missouri School for the Blind. Afterward, he furthered his studies at the University of Missouri, Columbia (Mizzou), where he continued to pursue knowledge and personal growth with determination.
Outside of his professional achievements, Tommy had a deep love for listening to the St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou football games on the radio. This passion brought him joy and comfort, connecting him with his beloved teams and hometown spirit across the years.
Tommy is survived by his brother, John S. Hatezich, Jr., his sister, Denise A. (Patrick) Brown of O’Fallon, Missouri, and a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory and hold him close in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Stephen Hatezich, Sr.; his mother, Mary Rose Hatezich; and his sister, Carole L. Hatezich.
Tommy Hatezich will be fondly remembered for his unwavering faith, his dedication to service and learning, and the kindness he shared throughout his life.
