Valarie Lee, age 57, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 20, 1967 to Joe "José" and Gena Thompson (Reed).

Valarie is so BEAUTIFUL , FOREVER overflowing with so much LOVE and GRACE. In all things she brings so much JOY and LIGHT. Valarie's KINDNESS provided SOLACE, PEACE and LAUGHTER in addition to lifting you up with so much unconditional LOVE. She is very accomplished and ALWAYS excelled in education, in the top ten with high high honors, a member of National Honors Society in high school and Dean's list in college. She was a cheerleader, participated in sports at Buena Vista High School and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Engineering at Michigan State University. She was a member of Grace Chapel Mennonite Church and served as an advocate and supporting several community outreach programs through out her career, such as NACME (National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering), National 4H Council, Minority Business Enterprise and several others. More than anything Valarie LOVED LOVED her HONEY, BIAS, MAAMA and family....Her TRUE PRIDE, PASSION and PERFECT JOY. Valarie enjoyed gourmet cooking, family game night, traveling and interior designing/decorating.

Valarie is survived by her husband, James Lee; her children, Tobias George (Bridget) Lee, and Anandy Genaen Lee; her granddaughter, Mia Mahoney; her father, Joe "José" Thompson; her sisters, Veronica (Monte) Mills-Gibson, and Victoria Valley; her brother-in-laws, Rickie (Victoria) Lee, Jerome Lee, and Deion Lee; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Lee; her nephews, DeShone Valley II, Marc (Vanessa) Mills, Jaylon (Michaela) Mills, Anthony Mills, II, Demario (Bre'Unna) Thomas, Delmar Lee, Rickie Lee, II, Jaden Lee, Dennis McAfee, and DeAndré McAfee; her nieces, Sharrae Mills, Jada Lee, Gee Lee, Dominique (Johnathan) McCullah, and Shaday Lee. She will be dearly missed by a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gena L. Thompson; brother, André L. Thompson; maternal grandmother, Louise Reed; her maternal grandfather, Willie Reed; her paternal grandmother, Esther Thompson; her paternal grandfather, Hezekiah Thompson; and her mother-in-law, Angelean Lee.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. Burial will follow at Saint Charles Memorial Gardens in Saint Charles Missouri.
