Vincent Darret Miles

Vincent Darret Miles, born on May 10, 1964, departed this life on June 5, 2025. A cherished member of his family and community, Vincent will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and love for life.

Vincent was a passionate lover of music, particularly enjoying the soulful sounds of R&B and the improvisational nuances of jazz. His enthusiasm for these genres reflected his adventurous spirit and ability to find joy in the rhythms of life. He thrived on the bonds he created with friends, relishing the moments he spent among those he held dear.

Vincent's favorite meal was a steak sandwich from Subway and strawberry ice cream. Later when his health started declining, and his speech became slurred, his younger sister asked him to blink if he had given his life to the Lord, and per Vincent's blink that was a yes. 

He is survived by two loving sisters, Linda (L.B) Nunaley and Chandra (David) Roberts, his beloved son, LaVincent Miles. and his ex-wife Annette Johnson. Vincent's legacy will continue through them, as well as through a host of other family members and friends who were fortunate to know him.

Vincent was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Lee Miles-Travis and his father, Billie Miles. Their memories will forever be intertwined with his own, as family remained a cornerstone of his life.

A visitation for Vincent will be held on June 28, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Bellefontaine Cemetery, located at 4947 West Florissant Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63115, at 12:00 PM.

As we celebrate the life of Vincent Darret Miles, we honor his memory and the indelible mark he has left on all who knew him. His love, laughter, and passion for life will be sorely missed but fondly remembered.
