Viola May Sanders, age 91, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was born in Crystal Falls, Michigan on May 10, 1934 to Erwin and Elsa Gruner (nee Egner).
Viola is survived by her son, James Quentin Sanders, Jr.; five daughters, Phyllis (Roger) Braniff, Diana Sanders, Teresa (Charles) Clayton, Elena (Bruce) McGarvey, Andrea (Richard) Smoak; three grandchildren, Rachel, Brandon, Sarah; five great-grandchildren, Quentin, Emmalee, Alivia, Elyas, Freya; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Quentin Sanders; son, Roger Allen Sanders; father, Erwin Gruner; mother, Elsa Gruner.
Interment will be private.
