With hearts full of love and memories, we remember and honor the extraordinary life of Wanda M. Briscoe, née Blowers, who peacefully departed this world on June 29, 2026, in St. Charles, Missouri, with her husband, Al, by her side. Wanda was born on November 23, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri—a date that would mark the beginning of a life defined by warmth, compassion, and a spirit that touched all who knew her.
Those fortunate enough to know Wanda will never forget her gentle kindness and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy is carried on most profoundly by her devoted husband of 48 years, Al Briscoe, and her beloved children: sons David (Leesa) Sanders and Roger Sanders, and daughter, Doreena (Mark) Featherstone. In them, Wanda’s love, humor, and generosity live on.
Wanda's love did not stop with her children—it radiated through the next generation. Her grandchildren—Sarah Scott, Jake Scott, Kayla Scott, Kyle Sanders, Kevin (Olivia) Sanders, Briana Tonnsen, and Cerridwen Bunyea—were each treasured, and she celebrated every milestone and joy in their lives. The time and affection she poured into her family will long outlast her years with us, woven into stories, traditions, and family gatherings for decades to come.
She grew up surrounded by the care of her late parents, Lester and Norma Blowers, whose values and affection helped shape the remarkable woman Wanda became. Wanda felt the deep loss of her daughter, Donna Fay Scott, and her sister, Merle Fitzgerald, who predeceased her. Their spirits remain a part of the cherished memories Wanda’s family now carries forward.
Throughout her journey, Wanda created a haven of comfort and laughter. She faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and an open heart, providing steady support during difficult times and heartfelt joy in moments of celebration. Whether sharing words of wisdom, welcoming loved ones into her home, or lending a listening ear, Wanda's caring nature left a mark that cannot be erased.
Though Wanda M. Briscoe is no longer physically with us, her legacy endures through all she taught and shared. To her family and friends, her memory is a wellspring of love—her laughter and stories echoing in every gathering, her presence deeply missed yet forever honored.
As we say goodbye, we remember Wanda for the love she gave so freely, the strength she demonstrated each day, and the warmth that defined her life. Her story continues in the hearts of all those who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, please check back for updated service details.
