William "Bill" Brotemarkle

William “Bill” Keith Brotemarkle passed away on August 25, 2025.

Loving father of Bobby Campbell (Angel), Dawson Brotemarkle (Mira), Matt Brotemarkle (Kaitlyn), Carly Brotemarkle, and Annie Doke (Jerrod) and grandfather of Jack, Conor, Mia, Ayla, Ronan, Mikhail, Eleanor, Zachary, Sierra, Cormic and Leah.

Bill was a proud member of the 1968 McCluer Football Team, the first State Champions in Missouri history. After which he was a standout middle linebacker for the University of Central Missouri Mules (formally Central Missouri State University). During his time at UCM he found his passion for rugby. As there was no spring ball at that time he and several teammates joined the club to stay fit in the off season and of course to lay hits. His love for rugby continued well into his sixties, creating great memories with the University of Central Missouri, River Key and St. Louis Falcons rugby clubs. He had a lifelong love of riding horses, and in his younger years he competed in rodeos on broncs and bulls. Above all, his greatest joy was simply spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dad, you will be missed. Enjoy peace in the great beyond. Visitation will be on September 2, 2025 from 10 until 12 pm with Funeral service at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
