Listen to Obituary

William “Bill” T. Smith, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, known to many as "Bubba", passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on July 5, 1961.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Cindy (Bill) Bradford, Jim (Michelle) Smith, Scott Smith, and Deanna Smith. He leaves behind cherished memories with his nieces and nephews: Stephanie Schwarzen, Ryan (Amber Zimmerman) Schwarzen, Miranda (Josh) Criscimagna, Ethan Bradford, Emily Bradford, and Yuna Ybarra. Bill’s legacy extends to numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, cousins, and many family members and friends who were enriched by his warmth and compassion.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Edward Smith, and his mother, Marcella Ann Eddens, his grandparents, Oatis and Euna Smith, and Elmer and Mary Yore, whose lives he honored through his lifelong devotion to his family.

Bill’s commitment to caring for others shaped his journey. He was a caretaker, giving selflessly to those he loved. He provided dedicated care to both his grandmothers and his mother, embodying loyalty and selflessness.

Bill found great fulfillment as a bus driver for Wentzville School District. He formed lasting bonds with the children he safely transported each day. His friendly demeanor and caring heart made him a favorite among students, who will remember his laughter and kindness fondly.

Bill savored life’s simple pleasures. He found joy in fishing, relished weekends at Lake of the Ozarks, and delighted in the camaraderie of fantasy baseball—his enthusiasm for the sport was matched only by his enjoyment of sharing it with friends and family. Bill’s role as an uncle was one he treasured deeply; his nieces, nephews, and extended family recall moments spent in his company with great affection.

William “Bill” T. Smith’s life was defined by generosity, dedication, and care. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, through every story shared and every cherished moment remembered.
